Youth Job Programs

The City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks (RAP) has extensive experience providing leadership and job training to youth for over 20 years. Our youth workforce programs are designed to provide job training skills to young people and prepare them for today’s workforce.

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Department of Recreation and Parks, with funding support from the Mayor’s Office, County of Los Angeles, and the State of California, have established several job training programs to provide employment opportunities to underserved youth. All job training programs pay a living wage and there are opportunities for youth as young as 16 years old.
